The French society of Immunology brings together scientists involved in applied or clinical fundamental immunology research.
The FSI has over a thousand members, from INSERM, CNRS, INRA, or various research centers: universities, hospital services or private laboratories.
Its purpose is to encourage and carry out any action that can promote the development of this discipline.
The French society of Immunology organizes annual scientific meetings, and supports others. With the help of private laboratories, it provides annual technology workshops, where the most advanced methods are taught by specialists to 30 participants, selected for their motivation.
The French society of Immunology offers also an 4 days annual Immunology course, designed to showcase the latest data in all fields of the discipline and allow teachers to perfect their lessons content. It is a great forum for discussions between participants.
The French society of Immunology allocates fellowships to its young members, PhD, post-doc, to attend summer courses (FEBS, FASEB, EMBO, NATO) or thematic seminars with a limited participation (ENII, Keystone).
