The main goal of the Institute of Neurobiology, Slovak Academy of Sciences (INB SAS) is the study of the nervous tissue and central nervous system under physiological and pathological conditions (basic and clinical neurobiology). Current trends and developments were reflected in a multidisciplinary approach to the problems studied in INB SAS. The scientific research has been specifically aimed to the study if ischemic and traumatic injury in the central nervous system and the regeneration possibilities and various protective effects.
